La voz pasiva en inglés es una forma compuesta por el verbo auxiliar TO BE (que es solamente una herramienta gramatical sin significado propio) y el  pasado participio del verbo principal:

S         V              C Activa: (a)  Mary  helped  the boy                     S                 V           C Passive: (b) The boy was helped by Mary	El complemento de la voz activa (a) se convierte en el sujeto de la voz pasiva( b) Nota: Observa que la forma del verbo en la voz pasiva va seguido de by el cual se llama “agente” en (b) Mary es el agente y tiene el mismo significado en (a) y (b)

La forma de la voz pasiva es:  S +be + Pasado participio + by + Agente
Active: Simle Present           Mary    helps                     The boy Presente Continuo    Mary    is helping            The boy Presente Perfecto     Mary    has helped           The boy Pasado Simple          Mary    helped                     The boy Pasado Continuo       Mary    was helping           The boy Pasado Perfecto       Mary    had helped             The boy Futuro simple           Mary    will help                 The boy Futuro idiomático     Mary    is going to help     The boy Futuro Perfecto        Mary    will have helped    The boy	Passive: The boy      is                         helped       by Mary The boy      is being               helped       by Mary The boy      Has been             helped       by Mary The boy       was                    helped       by Mary The boy       was being          helped       by Mary The boy       had been           helped       by Mary The boy        will be               helped       by Mary The boy        is going to be     helped       by Mary The boy        will have ben     helped      by Mary
(e) Was the boy helped by Mary? (f)  Is the boy helped by Mary? (g) Has the boy been helped by Mary?	En la forma interrogativa para la voz pasiva un verbo auxiliar SSSSxS precede al sujeto.
